Legal Representation in Mediation and Arbitration. In addition to providing ADR or alternative dispute resolution services, the Firm’s attorneys have participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations on behalf of their clients. Our lawyers have experience mediating cases before a lawsuit is filed, as well as representing clients in mediation of federal and state court cases. The Firm’s lawyers have served as local counsel for other firms needing assistance with mediations and arbitrations.
Mediator Services. Dan O’Brien not only assists the Firm’s clients in mediations and arbitrations, he is also qualified to serve as a court-appointed mediator in all cases pending in Texas state courts, including SAPCR cases (suits affecting the parent-child relationship). Mr. O’Brien completed his primary mediation training in 2009 at The Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution Center at The University of Texas at Austin. He also completed his advanced family law mediation training in 2009. Dan O’Brien brings his training as a mediator to each and every mediation in which he represents the Firm’s clients.
Arbitration Services. Mr. O’Brien is qualified to serve as an arbitrator in the automobile warranty and Texas lemon law cases for major automotive retailers selling vehicles in Texas. These arbitration are conducted under the auspices of the BBB, are subject to Rule 703 of the Code of Federal Regulations and pursuant to requirements of the Federal Trade Commission, and are binding on automobile manufacturers.
